Seattle is Catering to the BeachGoers this Season

SEATTLE, WA - The water is still a little too cold to swim in, but as summer wears on, you might find yourself looking to take a dip to cool off. In Seattle, there are dozens of "secret" beaches that you can use, and will likely have all to yourself. Under Seattle law, any street that dead-ends at water - be it Lake Washington or Puget Sound - is a public right-of-way. That means you can use it for swimming, sitting, or whatever you feel. Although not all of the wonderful places in Seattle can be sanctioned to swim in, there are coves and beaches to find and lurk amongst even in the most cold of seasons. The Shoreline Street Ends based in Seattle itself has the intention of removing the overgrowth of many dead end beaches across the Washington state city and allowing people to enjoy the sandy shores. There is an effort to motivate citizens in going back to the beaches, and not being deterred by inclement weather or the lack in care of the shoreline itself. Beaches are a public right of way, and the people are taking their waters back!

Lake View is the BEST view.

The best thing that sticks out about Lake View is the family atmosphere. The lake itself is HUGE and there is always room on the lake whether your there during the winter or the summer. There is so much to do from paddle boarding, to swimming. Another thing is the views from anywhere are absolutely breathtaking. Also, there is such a wide variety of places to eat: If you want Italian or local seafood...there are many places around the lake that offer great food and amazing views. There are some houseboats located on the lake and they are also a great photo opportunity. Thats the other thing, if you are a photographer you can take amazing pictures from anywhere around the lake.
